We are located on the banks of the Withlacoochee River in Citrus
and Levy Counties. Deemed Florida's "Nature Coast", this area of Florida is one of the last portions of the state
where natural Florida can be observed in all its splendor, relatively free of crowds, traffic jams, and all the other stress-inducing
characteristics of modern, urban Florida living.
It's not unusual to see armadillos, golpher tortoises, and all kinds of snakes on
a daily basis, manatees and dolphins swimming in the river in the winter months, and alligators swimming in the
river or sunning themselves on the banks daily during the warmer parts of the year.
The Withlacoochee, a Florida Outstanding Waterway, sports excellent fishing, both
fresh and salt water, and flows directly into the Gulf of Mexico.
The land along the Withlacoochee River is particularly well-suited for our Highland
catttle, which are well-known for their efficient metabolism and are better-suited than other breeds of cattle to utilize
less than ideal pastures. In addition, the verdant canopy of palmettos, oaks and pines provides plenty of relief
from the harsh summer sun.
